Introducing The Drifters Car Club
Since its founding in 1997, The Drifters Car Club has been a beloved fixture in Murrieta, CA. Established by five devoted car enthusiasts and their spouses—including the late Pat Vesey and his wife, Jean, who remains actively involved—the club was born out of a shared passion for classic cars and trucks, as well as a commitment to camaraderie and community involvement.
A Family-Oriented Mission
From the beginning, the Drifters have stood for more than just classic vehicles. The club was built on family-friendly values and a strong desire to give back. Over the years, members have supported Veterans, Seniors, and Children through a wide range of charitable efforts, reflecting the club’s enduring mission to serve the community.
Growth and Leadership
What began as a small gathering has grown into a thriving organization of over 500 members. Open to all ages and backgrounds, the Drifters Car Club continues to welcome those who share a love for vintage cars and community spirit. Remarkably, the club remains free to join—there are no membership dues—underscoring its commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
Today, the club is led by Co-Chairs Bonnie Heinrich and Terry “Doc” Harris, whose leadership has helped sustain the club’s momentum and mission. Members meet bi-monthly to plan events, share stories, and strengthen bonds that span generations.
Featured at the Pomona Swap Meet
The Drifters Car Club is honored to be the featured car club at the January 19, 2025, Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show. As a respected voice in the classic car scene, the Drifters will proudly display their cherished cars and trucks along the main aisle of the Car Corral. Visitors are encouraged to stop by, admire the vintage beauties, and chat with club members to learn more about their journey and passion.
